On Wednesday, Ontario Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk said only 20 per cent of the total 2020 targeted emission reductions goal for the province will be achieved. Lysyk also noted that not enough is being done by the ministry to effectively manage “risks to the environment and human health from polluting activities,” including cracking down on the “thousands of polluters” in Ontario who are operating without government approval.
