Taking a look back in the history of Winnipeg’s Furby Street

Winnipeg is made up of dozens of unique neighbourhoods, each with its own special history. As the city grows, those communities change. In the late 1800’s Furby Street and the west Broadway area were considered the outer edge of the city. But as Winnipeg grew, it grew around it. Global’s Mike Koncan takes a look back at the history of the area.
