The Gray Jay beats the common loon to become Canada’s national bird

The Royal Canadian Geographical Society has declared that the Gray Jay should be Canada’s national bird. The common loon actually received more votes in the Society’s contest, but expert opinions tipped the decision to the friendly Jay, also known as the whiskey jack. Eric Sorensen reports.
