Day one of the Kelowna regional transit strike proved to be an eventful affair. The drivers walked off the job today after failing to reach a new contract with its private employer — First Canada. As part of their job action, The drivers set up a picket line at the entrance to the transit depot, which just happens to be next to the city of Kelowna works yard. The transit drivers then set up a blockade, blocking the city workers from entering the yard. Kelly Hayes reports from the scene.
