Sat, Nov 5: Hundreds of people across the province took part in rallies to protest the NDP government’s proposed carbon tax Saturday. The biggest one was held in Calgary, where the unemployment rate has now reached 10.2 per cent, the highest level since 1993. But as Carolyn Kury de Castillo reports, experts say the chance the government is going to back down is slim.
