Fri, Oct 28: Police say they have a “tentative” identification for the woman, estimated to be in her fifties, who was behind the wheel of a car that crashed into Lake Ontario Thursday. They’re still trying to find out why the car plowed through the barriers along the Cherry Street bridge and into seven-metre-deep water. Investigators are also looking to speak to a second would-be rescuer who dove into the water to help, but left the scene before they could speak to him. Mark Carcasole reports.
