Morinville to get abused women’s shelter thanks to fundraising efforts

After years of fundraising, Morinville is getting a safe house for abused women. The fundraising campaign was spurred on by the 2009 murder of Morinville mother Jessica Martel, who was killed in front of her three children by her common-law husband. Gord Steinke spoke with Martel’s mother and a representative of the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation about the latest developments.
