Wed, Oct 5: Halton Regional Police said a truck was transporting more than 100 pigs to Fearmans Pork Inc. when it lost control and flipped over just after 7 a.m. None of the pigs were killed in the crash, but a few were spotted running loose near Appleby Line and Harvester Road. Freelance photojournalist David Ritchie captured these images of the pigs being rounded up by police – and of protesters from Toronto Save the Pig on the scene shortly after the accident.
