Rescue crews responded to the Sakonnet River Bridge after a crane tipped over Monday afternoon. The incident happened on the northbound side of Route 24 at about 1:30 p.m. Little Compton Fire Chief Richard Petrin reported on Twitter that two workers were trapped in the bucket of the crane after the accident. He later reported that they were successfully rescued.
