Wed, Aug 17: Around 20 per cent of residents in Rio de Janeiro live in favelas. Some of the slums are run by drug-lords and regularly witness clashes with police. But one infamous Rio favela is preparing to celebrate, after one of their own traded the slums for Olympic gold. Jeff Semple reports.
