Qusai Abtini, a 14-year-old child actor, was killed when a missile struck the car he was in as he tried to escape Aleppo on 8 July. Abtini had become something of a local celebrity after his performances in the TV show “Umm Abdou the Aleppan,” the first sitcom produced out of rebel-held parts of Syria.
