More and more humpback whale sightings off BC’s coast provides study opportunity

Sat, Jul 16: The number of humpback whale sightings in BC has gone up significantly in the last while. The creatures have started moving closer to shores where whale watching vessels are able to head out to. The number of whales seen in a day now can be as high as 30 but 50 years ago that was unlikely. Researchers are taking this as an opportunity to look at the whales and their feeding habits in more depth. Kylie Stanton reports.
