Nearly three decades ago, when Danielle Campbell joined the Edmonton Police Service, a female canine officer was virtually unheard of, much less accepted. That was one of several hurdles she jumped in her career. In April, Campbell quietly stepped down from her role as the deputy police chief with the Edmonton Police Service.
