A Ohio woman who went whitewater rafting in North Carolina has died of an infection after being exposed to an amoeba that is naturally present in warm fresh water. Dr. Marcus Plescias, the Mecklenburg County Health Director, says doctors are still trying to find out what exact;y led to the young girl contracting the amoeba.
