Mon, Jun 20: The development of a Regional Park has yet to happen ten-years after the Municipality laid out its intent to do so. Blue Mountain Birch-Cove Lake is a vast wilderness area on the edge of Halifax, some it is crown owned, some of it is developer owned. The city said it intended to acquire the developer owned parts in 2006 with a goal of creating the Blue Mountain Birch-Cove Lakes Regional Park.
