New guidelines in place for physicians in Nova Scotia

There’s good news tonight for advocates working to curb prescription drug abuse in our region. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia has just endorsed a new set of guidelines from the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. As Global’s Natasha Pace explains, two of the twelve newly endorsed recommendations revolve around the amount of opioids physicians can prescribe.
