Wed, Jun 1: “Joe’s Team” was co-founded by Joe and his wife Cara a decade ago. Joe’s Team, an event encouraging participation from anyone who ever dreamed of being part of a fun, non-competitive triathlon/duathon with the purpose of raising money for cancer research. Joe passed from head and neck cancer in 2010 but his wife carried on with the event raising $11 million, which was enough money to build a research centre at Princess Margaret Hospital in Joe’s name.
