Fri, May 20: Demand at food banks around the province has been skyrocketing over the last year. The economic downturn has also hit Calgary’s immigrants hard, with new arrivals having a difficult time finding employment. But the Muslim community is reaching out to make sure struggling Calgarians – especially those with dietary restrictions – are being served. Sarah Offin reports.
