Canada is boosting its support to the Global Fund by 20 per cent to $785 million over the 2017-2019 period. The Global Fund was established in 2002 to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also announced this morning that Canada will host the fund’s fifth fundraising conference in Montreal in September.
