On Tuesday, Alberta Premier Rachel Notley spoke about the ongoing wildfires and evacuations in place for the area of Fort McMurray. Notley said she knows that it’s a “very scary time…a very, very stressful time” for people having to leave their homes under the current conditions. However, the government’s priority at the moment is “ensuring the safety of people,” getting them out of the city and stopping the fire.
