In the past five years, Edmonton Catholic Schools has seen the number of English Language Learners double, from 12 per cent of the student population to over 23 per cent. Elementary ESL Consultant Paula Borges-Couture joined Global News Morning to talk about the process of providing extra help learning English to such a high number of students.
