Some municipalities are starting to push back against an RCMP plan to dramatically change its auxiliary program. Nationally, there are about 16 hundred auxiliary constables who volunteer with the RCMP. Recent violence against police prompted the service to restrict many auxiliary duties. As Mia Sosiak reports, some Red Deer city councilors are speaking out against the decision.
