Amnesty International and other human rights groups issues a joint statement last month call for a halt to arms sales to Saudi Arabia over human rights violations in the Saudi-led bombing campaign aimed at rebel Houthi forces in the neighbouring country of Yemen. Peggy Mason from the Rideau Institute echoed those sentiments Wednesday when she called on the federal government to not let jobs and economic considerations outweigh human rights concerns.
