Metis National Council president hails ‘significant victory’ following Supreme Court verdict

Clément Chartier, president of the Metis National Council, hailed what he called a “significant victory” for the 600-thousand Metis and off-reserve Indians across the country following the Supreme Court ruling Thursday morning that they are entitled to the same programs, services and rights as First Nations and Inuit.
