The director general of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) apologized on Thursday for failing those who were sexually abused by the later entertainer Jimmy Savile. Lord Hall said a serial rapist and a predatory sexual abuser, referring to Savile and former broadcaster Stuart Hall, both hid in plain sight at the BBC for decades, adding that the organiZation failed the victims of abuse.
