Edmonton family on their 5 month cross-Canada canoe adventure

One night Benoit Gendreau-Berthiaume and his wife, Magali were discussing what they could do to celebrate his graduation, after he earned a PhD in forestry. They joked about paddling from Edmonton to Montreal with their five-year-old son. And the more they thought about it, the more it seemed like a good idea. Benoit joined the Morning News to share the story of their adventure – and all the challenges along the way.
