Gov. Gen. David Johnston will present six medals of courage and nine medals of bravery to officers who confronted Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, who stormed Centre Block with a rifle and was later killed in a shootout. Among those being honoured with the Star of Courage is House of Commons security officer Louis Létourneau.
