Alzheimer’s is a disease that affects an estimated 14% of Canadians over the age of 65. The disease strips people of who they once were and some patients are unable to recognize loved ones they’ve known all their lives. Global’s Teri Fikowski takes a look at how that affects the families and caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients.
