Chrystia Freeland, Canada’s minister of international trade, was in New Zealand on Thursday to sign the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal. Freeland was amongst other trade representatives from around the world, including Japan, Australia and Chile. The TPP was designed to increase trade and investment amongst the countries involved, however the deal is not yet ratified.
