Wed, Jan 27: Homes built before the 1950s have a higher chance of having lead pipes, which is a major health hazard for young children, infants and the elderly. In 2011, the city commenced a program to have city-owned pipes replaced, but as Angie Seth reports, pipe replacement in residential homes must be done at the owner’s expense, some of whom cannot afford it.
