Denmark approves laws to seize valuables from refugees

Tue, Jan 26: Denmark took in 15,000 refugees last year, but now it’s making news for what it’s taking away from them. The Danish government has approved laws to confiscate cash and valuables from refugees, which will be used to cover the costs of settling them. As Jeff Semple reports, critics say it’s reminiscent of Europe’s dark past.
