Toronto Mayor John Tory said the original plan to have multiple subway stops in Scarborough has been scaled down to one stop: Scarborough Town Centre. Therefore, the money saved from not having additional subway stops will be used to build onto the district’s LRT. Tory said the “expert evidence” from the report shows this is the best thing for the city and commuters.
