A jury ruled in favour of reducing the parole eligibility of a Toronto woman, Nicola Puddicombe, convicted of murdering her long-time boyfriend. Sixteen years ago, Puddicombe was found guilty of the 2006 murder of Dennis Hoy, her boyfriend of 11 years, who she bludgeoned to death with an axe while he slept in Puddicombe’s bed.
