U.S. ‘won’t be able to defeat Venezuela, we are invincible,’ says Maduro as Trump increases pressure

There are increasing indications that the U.S. may be on the verge of launching military action against Venezuela with top military officials visiting the region and an unprecedented deployment of American forces. The Trump administration has labelled the Venezuelan Cartel de los Soles as a “foreign terrorist organization,” a claim that Venezuela’s foreign ministry strongly denies. Meanwhile, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro declared that his country is “invincible,” despite the looming threat of efforts by U.S. President Donald Trump to oust his regime.
