’Tis the season to be jolly Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la, la, la…. The unofficial start of Toronto’s holiday season began early this morning in the dark, as the Christmas tree for the Distillery District was put in place. A 55-foot silver fir was brought down Trinity Street on a flatbed truck shortly after 6 a.m. This event marks the official countdown to the Distillery Winter Village, which opens on Nov. 13.
