Mom and pop shops across the country have seen a lift in interest and support for small businesses amid this patriotic wave of the “Buy Canadian” trend as tariff tensions remain between Canada and the U.S. A new survey by payments platform Xero suggests that a 5% increase in spending towards small businesses could result in $88 billion in additional revenue for local businesses and communities.
