A wild weather system continued to pummel the coast of New South Wales, Australia on Wednesday, bringing flash floods, forcing evacuations due to coastal erosion, and taking out power to thousands of homes. The New South Wales State Emergency Service stated that the storm generated “significant wave action”, with waves reaching heights exceeding 12 metres, according to senior meteorologist Gabrielle Woodhouse.
