Canadian counter tariffs were intended to fight U.S. tariffs. But for a small island community in N.B., with its only bridge connecting it to Maine, the tariffs meant skyrocketing prices on essential goods. The federal government now says the island’s residents are exempt from counter tariffs, leaving residents and local representatives breathing a sigh of relief. Anna Mandin has the story.
