NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said Thursday that he does not support renegotiating the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) before it is up for review in 2026, saying it would set a “very bad precedent.” He added that there is “no justification” to cancel the agreement before its end.
