A group at the University of Alberta is using $24 million in federal grants to design clothing prototypes that will soften and stiffen as required to help people perform daily tasks. They say the clothing could assist people who have musculoskeletal weakness, people working in the trades who do a lot of lifting, and even athletes. Sarah Ryan explains in Health Matters.
