U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his interest in acquiring Greenland during a joint session of Congress Tuesday night. He painted a picture of prosperity and safety for the “incredible people” of the island, an autonomous territory of the kingdom of Denmark. Noa Redington, an analyst and former adviser to previous Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt, said Greenland’s election on March 11, Tuesday would be “historical.”
