Brampton mayor Patrick Brown and city councillors have announced a “Canada First” procurement policy, which will deem U.S. companies ineligible to bid on ongoing new procurement with the city. As Megan King reports, city officials are now calling on other municipalities to join them in the policy change — which will only go into effect if tariffs do.
