Joly, Wilkinson prioritize handling Trump tariffs when asked if they will run for Liberal leader

Canada’s federal Liberals are now turning their attention to a leadership race following Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s decision to resign – though it’s currently unclear who intends to run. Certain ministers, however, are focused on maintaining the strength of the Liberal caucus as U.S. President-elect Donald Trump re-enters the Oval Office and threatens Canada with 25 per cent tariffs on goods.
