A study on the behaviour of sea sponges in Barkley Sound off the coast of Vancouver Island is revealing new details about the animals, including that they sneeze and hibernate. Scientists captured images of Belinda the sea sponge over four years, marking the longest continuous recording of these animals in the wild.
