And with an election on the horizon, they’re only expected to escalate. We speak with Michele Paradis, who leads the protective unit of the RCMP, about how her unit is working to combat this. Plus, there is a new weapon in the RCMP protective policing arsenal. Gabe Letourneau is the unit’s first threat specialist, trained specifically to sift through the many threats against Canadian politicians to decipher what they really mean and determine which are truly dangerous.
