A Calgary couple is praising Calgary Fire and Calgary EMS after their son was born at their southeast home early last week. Hayes, who arrived on Tuesday weighing six pounds, was born five weeks prior to his due date. He is now in hospital in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) being monitored by medical staff. The family hopes to have him home by Christmas morning.
