Author Kathy Sorensen joins Global News Calgary to talk about her book Living in the Land of the Uprights. The book is a personal look at the life of her son, Thomas, and how he overcame challenges while living with a rare form of muscular dystrophy. While Thomas passed away in 2014, his legacy lives on through his advocacy work, spreading awareness for people of all abilities.
