Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre has called for a vote on the annual Fall Economic Statement, which is expected to be delivered Monday by the Liberal government – weeks after it was initially anticipated. Responding to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland’s sudden resignation Monday, Poilievre suggested the Liberal party table their fiscal update and “let the House of Commons vote up or down” in a “non-confidence vote” in order to bring forth a potential “carbon tax election.”
