New Brunswick standing committee considers rent cap

New Brunswick’s standing committee on economic policy heard from witnesses as it considers a proposed three per cent rent cap. While tenant advocacy groups argued for the cap to be unit specific, witnesses representing landlords proposed a decrease in property tax to incentivize the business in the province.
