The Liberal party’s GST ‘holiday’ bill is now one step closer to becoming law after it was passed by a majority in the House of Commons on Thursday evening. If passed in the senate, the two-month tax break will cover dozens of items, including foods, toys and electronics, and run from Dec. 14 until Feb. 15.
